Enforta acquires 100% of KTS CJSC
The transaction makes Enforta services available in Kuzbass regional cities of Leninsk-Kuznetsk, Kiselevsk, Belovo, Mariinsk and Gramoteino, whose combined population is approximately half a million people. The company’s full line of products is now available, and the branches and offices are fully staffed for these cities.
“The decision to purchase Polenet is part of our policy of geographical expansion,” says Viktor Lyasman, Director of Enforta’s Siberian Regional Centre. “The acquisition of a regional operator allows us to combine Kuzbass region into a single Enforta economic entity, enter new markets in the region, provide telecom services to multi-branch customers in the places where we are expanding coverage, and test new products by expanding our technical capabilities.”
KTS CJSC was founded in 2000. In 2002-2003 the company deployed a telecoms network in Kemerovo Region and Novosibirsk, and fibre optic networks in Novosibirsk, Kemerovo and Novokuznetsk. Enforta has obtained KTS’s infrastructure along with the 3.5 GHz frequency range and licenses. All of KTS’s systems and processes are currently being integrated into those of Enforta. Its technical and network solutions are being brought into compliance with Enforta’s corporate standards, and its existing equipment is being upgraded.
Enforta has been working in Kuzbass since 2006, having set up its first office in the region in Novokuznetsk. In 2008, the company opened a branch in Kemerovo and a sales office in Prokopyevsk. The company plans to expand its presence in the Kuzbass region by building its own networks in Guryevsk, Yurga and Tashtagol.
Enforta continues to grow rapidly by both building its own networks and acquiring smaller operators. Since 2006, Enforta has acquired Netprovodov.ru, the largest wireless operator in the Urals region; Sky Telecom in Rostov; Mir TV in Ufa and Art Communications in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Enforta’s expansion policy has given it the largest wireless broadband coverage area in Russia. By the end of 2010, the company’s services will be available in more than 100 Russian cities.
